    Saying goodbye.....

Today is my last day at work. I have decided to take a rest and look for opportunities anywhere, in short take the risk as I cannot stay without a job.  I am having mixed emotions right now L but I guess that’s just normal. Saying goodbye is such a hard thing to say but sometimes you just have to do it.  As what a friend told me, take the risk and think afterwards. Am I strong enough to take the risk? Is it worth-taking? So many questions have popped in my mind but I know God is always there to guide me and to lead me to the right path.  I have just to Trust HIM.

I am going to miss a lot of things at work. I’m going to miss the times when I have to…

    - wake up early to go to work, open Outlook to read e-mails from friends at work and outside work. In short, not office e-mails or ARs from boss LOL!

    - have coffee or dinner with friends, or go to the mall to window shop

present updates to the team on our weekly meetings, attend concalls and raise product issues

    - have long talks with close friends during office breaks, go out at wee hours of the morning to have lunch during graveyard shift

    - give solutions to those asking for help about our product (mamis ko un ms. lui, help!) and send product updates to the team....hirap isa isahin! hehe!

To summarize, what I will miss most at work are my friends....

To my co-SMEs who give their best for the team, cheers!!!! May we all find what we are looking for..

And last but not the least, to my closeness at work and to those who consider me as their friends, thanks guys! Thanks for making my stay at work a memorable one.  I will miss you all. See you when I see you..

    Nice quotes...

    La lang...

"When I lost you, I was the one who loved you most, but between us you lost more, for someday I can love someone the way I loved you but you will never be loved again the way that I did...."

"I am nothing special; of this I am sure. I am a common lady with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough..."

    SME’s Day Out

Event: Get together of SMEs (Subject Matter Experts)

Where: Enchanted Kingdom (EK) in Laguna

    When: June 17, 2006

After a wk or 2 of planning this trip, finally it happened.  Though some backed out on the day before due to unavailable circumstances, I made sure that I would still enjoy even though I felt a bit bad about it coz we were not complete.  Who cares?! LOL!

Here are some of the rides in EK:

    Rollerskaters (a.k.a. Rollercoaster)                        Carousel

    Rio Grande

This was one adventure that I truly enjoyed. As much as I want to avoid getting wet, I failed.  My back and pants got wet and then Jim, the one seated on my left got wet next. LOL! Then someone tried to move the raft (?) so the ones who weren’t wet yet got wet. LOL! We were all laughing and shouting and most of us had started to remove our seatbelts to avoid the rapids, falls but funny thing was, we all got WET!

    Rialto                                                       4D Discovery Theater

If you wanna experience what it feels like being in a movie, go inside the Rialto. As for the 4D theater, the film was the same, "Escape from Bane Manor" was shown few years back when we had our group's teambuilding.

    Achor's Away

This ride took my heart and soul out the first time I went for a ride hehe!  I promised myself I wouldn’t take a ride again as I didn’t feel good the first time I tried it. But I had no choice, all of us decided to and it was fun!!! It felt great when I erratically waved my hands while it swings back and forth. btw, I went for a ride for 3x! wohoooo! Couldn't believe it! Matapang na ko! hahahaha!

    Space Shuttle

I missed this ride. I was afraid to try it again. One ride is enough.

I did enjoy this event though it was tiring. It was worth it to spend a day off out in the theme park with my teammates.  May be the last time I'm gonna spend a trip with them, who knows?!  Will mis you guys!!!

    Let's take some quiz.....

What Is Your Emotional Intelligence Quotient?

I took a test at iVillage and the result was:

    You scored 80% correct!
Your score falls in the high EQ range.

Regardless of your score, keep in mind that your emotional intelligence can change. People are always evolving. You can increase your EQ at any point in your life by learning to identify your emotions and taking responsibility for those emotions. And just as easily as you can increase your EQ, you can also decrease it. You must continue to identify and work on areas within yourself that need work.

Your score indicates that you have some signs of burnout.

If you've scored in this range, you do have some potential of burnout. Please remember to do the following for yourself: set realistic work goals, take time for yourself, exercise, change jobs, read books about beating burnout, join a support group, keep a journal, take up a hobby, spend quality time with your family, defeat negative thoughts, becoming active in your church, synagogue, or other community activity and, most importantly, learn how to say no. If you do these things, we have no doubt you will continue to thrive!

    Half-Full Glass
You try to look on the bright side, and optimism is a skill you've cultivated to help you weather life's rough spots. All the same, you know it's okay to admit when you're angry or hurt. You're neither blindly positive, nor prone to dwell on slights and injuries, and your generally positive outlook helps prepare you to take risks without being held back by bitterness or a fear of failure. Believe it or not, some scientists have theorized that there is an evolutionary advantage to optimism: Human beings may be programmed to view the world as just slightly better than it actually is, in order to recognize clearly any real threats to our well-being and handle them appropriately. Your ability to rise above negative thinking while remaining realistic about temporary setbacks is a great strength.

    Let me in
to see you in the morning light
to get me on and all along the tears they come
    see all come
I want you to believe in life
but I get the strangest feeling that you've gone away
will you find out who you are too late to change?
    I wish I could be
    every little thing you wanted
    all the time
    I wish I could be
    every little thing you wanted
    all the time
    some times

    lift me up
just lift me up don't make a sound
and let me hold you up before you hit the Ground
    see all come
    you say your all right
but I get the strangest feeling
that you've gone away- you've gone away
and will you find out who you are too late to change?

    I wish I could be
    every little thing you wanted
    all the time
    I wish I could be
    every little thing you wanted
    all the time
    some times

    Don't give me up
    don't give me up tonight
or soon nothing will be right at all
    salvation
will you find out who you are too late to change?

    Her and His Diary

Got this interesting forwarded message from a close friend. Read on....

    HER DIARY

Sunday night I thought he was acting weird.

We had made plans to meet at a bar to have a drink. I was shopping with my
friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late,
    but he made no comment.

Conversation wasn't flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so
we could talk, he agreed but he kept quiet and absent. I asked him what was
    wrong - he said, "Nothing."

I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had nothing to do with
    me and not to worry.

On the way home I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept driving.

I can't explain his behavior; I don't know why he didn't say, "I love you, too."

When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.

He just sat there and watched T.V.; he seemed distant and absent.

Finally I decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he got up and went to sleep on the sofa.

I still felt that he was distracted and his thoughts were somewhere else.

I decided that I could not take it anymore, so I decided to confront him with the situation

    But he had fallen asleep.

I started crying and cried until I too fell asleep.

I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else.

    My life is a disaster.

    HIS DIARY

Today, we lost the football match.

    Guys!Guys!Guys! I will never understand you...LOL!

    Update!

Events I attended these past few days:

    High School Reunion

    Tramway Banawe, QC

    Apr. 20, 7pm-10pm

The event was a SUCCESS though we have our hands full because of work.

It was one event I wouldn’t forget. I was in high spirit to see my classmates whom I hadn't seen for ages. We talked about almost anything under the sun and it was fun, fun, fun!

    Bamboo Concert

    SM Megamall

    9:15 – 10:15 (-_-)?

It was my first time to attend a rock concert. I used to watch concerts back then except rock but this was one experience that I didn't want to miss out on and so I can check out why Faye became addicted as well like Lestat that’s why I agreed to go with them LOL. I really had a great time! His performance was awesome.  I am not a fan so I am not that familiar with his songs but it definitely put me in an extremely good mood when he sang some of the songs that I knew. :p

Feedback:  I was star strucked with his band member Ira Cruz.  He has the looks but looked so serious and didn’t even smile that much. Erase on my list LOL!

This guy, Nathan, looks like this TV host, Paolo Ballesteros. I didn’t notice him at first but when my friend said that he’s cute, I took another glance and watched him perform. He has a cute smile, and yeah, I agree with my friend. He is really cute! :p I will research on you..LOL!

    MJ’s 1st Bday

    Jollibee West Ave.

    1-3pm

This is the bday of the son of my close friend, Maricel. I went with my nephew, JC.  Finally, I was able to meet one of my closest friend’s BF. He is huge! In height I mean, LOL! But they look good together.  Anyway, the party went well, they rented a mascot, Jollibee who was so jolly (now you know why his name is Jollibee, LOL) and all the kids enjoyed it.

    *~*~*~*~*~This is A Day for Me *~*~*~*~*~

    By Ceejay Powell

This is a day for me.
A day to celebrate what I am,
And who I want to be.
To see myself through my eyes
    Not society's
    To express how I feel
    To be real
    To be strong
To hold my up head high
    To reach for the sky
    To be happy
    To be free
To opens my eyes and really see
What it means to be . . . in reality
To not be afraid of life
    Because today is my day
And no matter what they do or say
    I will be okay
Because this is the day for me.

    Happy birthday to me!

    a Very nice POem...

    A Place for Me

There is a special place for me,

    That needs my humble skill,

A certain job I’m meant to do,

Which no one else can fill.

The time will be demanding, and

The pay is not too good,

And yet, I wouldn’t change it

    For a moment-if I could.

There is a special place in life,

    A goal I must attain,

A dream that I must follow

‘Cus I won’t be back again.

There is a small mark that I must leave,

However small it seems to be,

A legacy of love for those

    Who follow after me.

There is a special place in life

    That only I must share,

A little path that bears my name,

    Awaiting me somewhere.

There is a hand that I must hold,

A word that I must say,

    A  smile that I must give-for there

    Are tears to blot away.

There is a special place in life

That I was meant to fill,

A sunny spot where flowers grow

    Upon a windy hill.

    There’s always a tomorrow,

And the best is yet to be,

And somewhere in this world, I know

There IS a place for ME!

    *How is life treating you?*

Sharing to you a very nice forwarded message from a friend.  Read on...

    LIVING ALIVE By Dero Pedero

    The Philippine STAR 02/28/2006

A few days ago, I received a text message from a friend who is in town

from Los Angeles that read: "Hi Dero! How is life treating you?" I

texted him back saying everything's fine and that we must see each

    other soon.

Later, as I scrolled through my phone's contacts file, I saw the name

of a friend living in Dipolog City whom I haven't heard from for

sometime. I decided to send him a how-are-you-doing text and without

meaning to be a copycat, asked the very same "how is life treating

    you" query.

After sending the text, I realized that the often used phrase "How is

life treating you?" is such a lame question. The truth is that life is

what you make of it by the second, by the minute, from day to day.

Thus, the right and pro-active question is: "How are you treating

    life?"

Most of us complain about how hard life is. We wake up to what we call

the "daily grind," where we expect to be ground and grilled. Instead

of whining and focusing on the negatives, we must be thankful that we

are blessed with the chance to experience this ride that not everyone

is lucky enough to endure and enjoy.

How must we treat life? We must regard it with awe and gratefulness.

We should celebrate it and at the same time, push ourselves to

greatness. Life is not something that just comes to you; it is

something you work for. Be careful about how you treat life because

how you do is how it will treat you!

If life throws you a lemon, make a lemonade. Life will not always be

rosy and sweet. When a bitter experience comes, sweeten it and turn it

    to something good.

The only time you really have is now. Stay away from the "someday when

things are better" and "the good old days were better" mentality. Life

is fragile; yesterday is gone and tomorrow might not come. Go for your

    heart's desires right now.

Surround yourself with joyful friends and possessions. Indulge in

life's joys and pleasures. Value people, friendships, and

relationships; surround yourself with love, beauty, and joy.

A problem or difficulty is but another bump on the road. Every now and

then, a truly trying time comes. You must view it as another bump to

hurdle on the way to your sweet destiny.

It is better to hope than to despair. Some events in life take us down

to the depths of depression, hopelessness, and gloom.

Why focus on the mud when

you can look at the stars?

If you need love, you must give it first. Many of us complain about

being alone. And, yes, many are lonely even in a crowd. If you don't

give, you won't receive. Loveless is he who cannot love.

The way you live is a choice. You may live in a box yet fix it up like

a castle. You may not be a millionaire, but you can live like one. All

it takes is your imagination. Remember that life is lived by your own

    design.

Don't wait for miracles; create them. Most of us sit through the day

waiting for a savior or a miracle worker. Don't hesitate to create

magic in your life. These days, even stars and celebrities are made,

    not born.

Listen to your heart and follow your dreams. Only you know your

innermost wishes and desires. In truth, you know more than you think

you do. Let your heart and soul guide you to your heaven on earth.

Don't postpone happiness. We are always procrastinating, leaving the

fulfillment of our dreams to some distant future. A day away from

happiness is a day of emotional vacuum. Go for happiness right now.

Love the life you are living. They say that the greatest joy comes

from loving the life you are living. Most of us are not happy with the

life we lead. Learn to love yourself, what you have, and the people

    you share life with.

Be grateful for every breath and rejoice with each new day. Life is

precious and priceless. Live life to the fullest, be the best that you

can be, be a source of love, inspiration, and joy, and always think

what a lucky person you are!

    Oh!!!

Sorry, I have been neglecting my blog for a while...Been busy with work and with e-mail friends LOL! I hope to update mine every now and then...Anyway...

I just read Faye's latest entry about "WAITING FOR A BUS" and it was very nice and very true. Got this from her entry:

"THE BUS THAT YOU DONT HAVE TO WAIT FOR... IT WILL JUST STOP AND WILL ASK YOU TO COME INSIDE AND TAKE A FREE RIDE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE...

"And you learn that love, true love, always has joys and sorrow, Seems ever present, yet is never quite the same, becoming more than love and less than love, so difficult to define. And you learn that through it all, you really can endure, that you really are strong, that you do have value. --Unknown Author

Anyway, what have I been doing?! Well, I have started to watch "LOST" series in dvd. I am finished with ep 18. Will start with disc 7 the next time I watch it again. It is getting exciting and I am curious as to what is in the jungle... 2 more discs and I am done. Hope to finish it soon!!!

Also, I am on a 3 day vacation. Weeeeeee!!! I am excited ..I know I deserve this break after the incident that happened to me last month.  I know I will enjoy it..I smell pine trees and I feel the chill ...as what my friend said when she texted me. 3 girls on a roadtrip. This is going to be fun! Couldn't wait....

    Poem of the Day

    Love's Promise
    by Andre' Barnes (from lovingyou.com)

Life is such a special gift
It holds so much in store.
Yet for everything that life may hold,
    Love holds so much more.
    Love won't guarantee to you
That problems won't come your way,
But it comforts you and strengthens you
    So that everything's okay.
It cannot promise that throughout life
You won't have a bumpy ride,
    It does however enable you
To take it all in stride.
Life may have its ups and downs
    Its happiness and sorrow,
    But Love's a simple promise
That there is a better tomorrow.
Love can lift you up above
    The troubles of the world.
Love will place you on a cloud
And make you dance and twirl.
Love will take you by the hand
    And lead you gently on.
Love remains and stays the same
    When everything else is gone.
Love is an awakening to better, brighter things
    Its dazzling beauty sparkles more
    Than gold or diamond rings.
Love's special promise comes to us
Only if the love is true,
So has the special promise of Love
    Found its way to you?

    Dignity in letting go

    Happy New Year to all!

Nice forwarded message to start the year. Read on....

There is dignity in not giving up on someone you truly love. But there is more dignity in letting them go so they can experience better love. That shows your true love because you then become unselfish And through putting others first, unconditional love grows.

There is respect in fighting gallantly to win someone's heart another time But an even greater respect comes from fighting hard and knowing when to stop. Even though you would give anything to have the past back, That person has touched your life in a way That will make your future so much brighter.

Accept that, and hold your head high Knowing you have captured their heart as well.

There is courage in allowing your heart to hurt and grieve But there is greater courage in knowing it will be scarred But stronger as time goes on. For whoever caused those scars has made your life better in some way And it will make you a better person when you marry Because of what the scars taught you.

Losing the person who meant the most in your life is a humbling experience, Yet it is even more humbling if you allow it to run your life And forsake all you have been blessed with When you feel like you have lost your world.

Remember how many people depend on you and who you are the world to. There is fortitude in holding on for another chance Although an even greater fortitude comes from extending your hand And heart in friendship, realising you will still share things with that person No one else ever will.

You will always have the looks and jokes and memories. Don't ever discount how special those things are in your heart and theirs. True love hurts when it is lost But an even greater love grows inside you through realisation That something better is in the world for both of you.

And that there are still things to share with that person, Even though some feelings may have changed. Take their hand and help them achieve their hopes and dreams Because in that there is dignity, respect, courage, humility, fortitude, And the unconditional love that will continue to grow in both of your hearts.

    Bottomline

If someone comes into your life and becomes a part of you but for some
reasons he couldn't stay, don't cry too much...just be glad that your
paths crossed and somehow he made you happy even for a while.

Bottomline : Time will tell, If he's yours he will come
    back.

    > > >-----------------------------------------------------------------
Two tear drops were floating down the river. One teardrop said  to the
other, "I'm the teardrop of a girl who loved a man and lost him. Who
are you?"..."I'm the teardrop of the man who regret letting a girl go..."

Bottomline : Nobody will sympathize a person who
constantly let chances passes by without making any
efforts to salvage. We normally don't realize how impt.
our loved and closed ones are until they left us, we'll
    start reminiscences which results misery.

Don't throw your back to love when it's already in front of you, don't
Drive it away from you because if you did, someday you'll think again
why you let Love fly away when it was once next to you.

Bottomline : Treasure the one who loves you, it's not easy
to find a Person who loves you. it's always more valuable
    to have a sincere heart.

The greatest regrets in our lives are the risks we did not take. If You
think something will make you happy, go for it. Remember that we
    pass This way only once.
Bottomline : Time don't wait. If you think you might
have found the Right one, treasure him/her. don't let
he/she go away. Don't let fear hold you back. Give it
a try else you might regret later...no one other than
Yourself knows what can truly make you happy.

There are so many stars in the sky but only some are radiant enough
to Catch your attention.  Among those that you chose to ignore is that
one star Which is willing to continue shining for you, even if your glance
    remains elsewhere.
Bottomline : Phrase 1 : The present person who you are
with for the time being may/may not be the one you
    truly love.
    Phrase 2 : should a person who knows that he/she can't
be with you for the time being and yet still continue to
love you whole  heartedly for what you are is touching.
    Think about it.
     > > >-----------------------------------------------------------------
It's so funny how we set qualifications for the right person to love,
While at the back of our minds we know that the person we truly
love will always be An exception.
Bottomline : We are critical especially to the one we
like or love because we want them to be the best,
constantly seeking for perfection, which should be
worked out by both parties in a relationship and not
one party alone to shoulder the burden.
    > > >-----------------------------------------------------------------
Love can make you happy although often times it hurts. But love is
Only special if you give it to which it's worth.
Bottomline : If you found someone who truly appreciates
you, He/she deserves more of your love.

We had our group's Christmas party last Thursday and I had so much fun!  I have been waiting for this moment to come.  After weeks of being depressed, finally I was back to my old self that night, a person full of smile, full of life and hope.

We sang and sang til we drop LOL. kidding...It took only 4hrs but it was one hell of a party.

    Sorry =(

Sorry guys, I deleted the previous entry coz it wasn't true. I thought I am happy but I am not. I am so down, hurt, sad, name it and that's what I am feeling right now.  It seems that the world is against me. I don't know when I am going to be ok, only God knows.  Prayer is the one thing that is keeping me alive and strong. And I am clinging on HOPE right now and I hope it leads me to the right path.

The flame of HOPE should never go out from our lives. And with HOPE, each of us can live a life with Peace, Faith and Love!
